Car is coming along great Marty! Where did you get your afco radiator from?
I actually bought it from www.hoodpins.net but he sold the site to Anvil back in May. However I think Tom at www.sportmachine.net is a dealer for Afco and should be able to get you the radiator.

And why isn't this car going to be at SEMA ???????:D

we are going to have nice outside spot so I can get a tan while I am sleeping near the car.

Somebody got a new avatar......
I was looking at an old thread on these gas tank issues i'm having and i saw a comment you made like three years ago, i looked and had to do a double take....
Oh, and btw, the mountain bike, if put behind the seat, will scratch up the plastic, ask me how i know lol....and the way my cars been going, i will need a bike to get me home as AAA comes to get project "dis-traction"....although i did hit 136 on a freeway onramp sat....maybe....hehehehe

Yep, It's getting close to being done. Kenny is building the lower dash and as I type the TMI Seat cover are being installed. Plenty more Kenny Style Pictures coming today.
ps -and that is the reason I put the rack on the side of the car.

2013 09-27 2nd Chance - Hood Stripe and Final Coat of Satin Clear
Hood Stripe and Final Coat of Satin Clear
www.2ndchancecamaro.com
Good Morning All,
I'm starting getting worried that this car might be turning out nicer then I want it to. Kenny & the guys are turning my driver into a really
nice driver and that wasn't suppose to happen till after we changed out the front subframe and did the crazy interior modifications.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2015/12/20/20151220211524-1ff8c642-me.jpg
We are still planning to add a red pin stripe line around the black on the hood
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2015/12/20/20151220211529-3e7f0eb3-me.jpg
and the first rendering that Carter did. Sure would have been a lot less work

2013 10-03 2nd Chance - Livin Loud with Kicker
Livin Loud with Kicker
www.2ndchancecamaro.com
Good Afternoon,
Moving to the Sound System I wanted to do something simple for this version of the car. I asked Victor Fulton if he would do a
rendering of the idea or Vision as Bob said that I had for the package tray. My goal was to have something similar to the 5th
generation Camaro with a 3rd brake light. I think Victor nailed it.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2015/12/20/20151220211838-f524858c-me.jpg
Right now we are looking at using a iTouch for the source and possible using the Kicker PX i50.2 Controller to power the speakers.
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2020/05/14/20200514145824-101f4941-me.jpg
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2020/05/14/20200514145826-2f36a215-me.jpg
I picked up a set of Kicker 6" Round 3 way speakers for the front kick panels and a set of 6 x 9's for the rear. Nothing to fancy
because version 2 of the interior is going to raise the bar.
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2015/12/20/20151220211325-78cf46b8-me.jpg
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2015/12/20/20151220211328-c458978e-me.jpg
We didn't want to reinvent the wheel so I purchase a set of fiberglass kick panels from a gentleman on
www.pro-touring.com. These are very nice and Kenny tells me that they fit perfectly.
http://www.pro-touring.com/threads/78684-2nd-Generation-Camaro-Speaker-Kick-Panels-FS-(AR)
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2020/05/14/20200514145828-3c1d1d36-me.jpg
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2020/05/14/20200514145830-701a739d-me.jpg
In order to do the least amount of fabrication work we ordered up a Marquez fiberglass package tray from the guys at www.camarocentral.com
this will greatly reduce the amount of fabrication time at the interior shop. However, they will still have to build the center section for the 3rd brake light.
http://www.garagescene.net/upload/2020/05/14/20200514150142-de8658e0.jpg
The other option for the source would be from Secret Audio. This being 4 channels vs the 2 channels that the Kicker version offers

2013 10-04 2nd Chance - Custom Works Carbon Fiber Valve Covers
Custom Works Carbon Fiber Valve Covers
www.2ndchancecamaro.com
Good Afternoon,
The real Bob John suggested that I put the Carbon Fiber Valve covers on the car now. However I am certain that he is going to say
something about me covering them up with the factory coils. We are hoping to get the billet coil covers but it's not looking good.
Maybe I will order up the red MSD Coils to keep the red theme going.

Thank you very much I really appreciate the kind words. I have spent a lot of time planning out this build and over the next 4 years it will keep evolving into a pretty cool car.
As for the wire Harness it is a American Auto Wire Factory Harness. I have used there stuff on all 3 of my projects with Kenny and he has only said good things about them.

2013 10-08 2nd Chance - Billet Speciality Wheels
Billet Speciality Wheels
www.2ndchancecamaro.com
Good Afternoon,
Slight change in the direction of the build. Kenny didn't like the wheel with the new paint so off came the wheels and a new
set was quickly shipped from the Guys at Billet Specialties. Of course Carter did a couple quick rendering with the new
wheels to give us a quick visual of how the car would look.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2015/12/20/20151220211520-c707ec37-me.jpg
Just trying to make sure I keep the pictures Cell Phone quality I used my iphone 4 to snap this picture before I shipped them to Kenny.

The car still has the stock subframe under the car with all of Ride-Techs parts and an Afco 14 to 1 Steering box.
I've ordered up a chassis from Scott Mock which I will build up including another Edelbrock LS motor with a 4l60E Twist Machines Paddle shift set. My goal with that chassis and motor is to Duplicate what Al & his son's are doing with the G5R Camaro. I have always wanted to go all out on a chassis and this will be my chance. It's much cheaper then building another car.

It's called the Sema Curse. Heck back in 08 or 09 when we took the 57 to Sema. His truck and trailer were stolen and they ditched the trailer with very important car parts in it that were needed to finish the cars for Sema.
Did I mention the Po Po shot the guy in Kenny's truck after a police chase. Kenny even left the bullet holes in the truck.

Nope it was in the Trailer and Kenny was at the helm. Some guy driving like a fool had a near miss with Kenny and he swerved to avoid him and then Kenny rear ended someone. Kenny looked at it in the trailer last night and it looked fine. When he pulls it out of the trailer he said he would look at it. I haven't heard from him today so it sounds like it's okay.
However Kenny's truck is screwed up.

I have a small secret Scott is building me a chassis and when it's complete it will of course have a Bowler 4l60e with the Paddle Shift set up that we never put in Syborg. I have spent many a nights wishing we put it in for this version of the car. But do or die this car will have your paddle shifter in it.

2013 10-22 2nd Chance - Air Cleaner
www.2ndchancecamaro.com
Good Evening,
We are getting down to all of the small detail stuff. I had a couple idea's what I wanted for an air cleaner and this one turned out much better then the original idea.
A member on Nasty Z28 suggested I look at Nascar Air Cleaners and then the wheels started to spin. I order a full Carbon Fiber Air Cleaner Assembly from Roush Yates. The were kind enough to ship it out 90 minutes before they were going home so we would get it next day. Great guys and I can't say enough good things about them.

2013 10-30 2nd Chance - Interior is getting closer
www.2ndchancecamaro.com
Good Morning,
Everything comes down to the wire and that seems to be a Sema thing.
Kenny had a friend come over and install the headliner and lay down the padding over the Boom Mat and there new Under Carpet Lite - Sound Absorbion & Insulation. Of course we don't have any pictures because Kenny was in a rush. I am not sure if they would have been worth posting because of his mad Camera skills.

www.2ndchancecamaro.com
Good Morning or is it night time ? I guess that all depends on what time it is when you read this message.
I am in love the Gauges from Autometer's Custom Shop and I think they fit very nice in the Anvil Carbon Fiber Dash Insert.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2015/12/20/20151220212040-6771bfb6-me.jpg
The guys at TMI custom made the rear seat to match the front seats. Both Seats were made in leather instead of vinyl. They were
a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with them on future projects.

When I decided I wanted to do 2nd Gen Camaro my goal was to find a survivor car that we could turn into something cool. Originally I was looking for a car just like this one ( exactly as I love this color ).
This Gordon Rojewski's 1967 Camaro and I am telling you it's my dream car.
http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd375/tjohnson151/Pro%20Touring/CamaroGordonRAD10LagunaGray_zpsd31de1dc.jpg
Then at Good-Guys Columbus the guys at Greening Automotive showed up with this beast. And of course it set the wheels in motion again.
http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/resizes/Events/2013-Good-Guys-Columbus/69-Valiant-Pissed-Off/2013%2007-12%20GG%20Columbus%20Fair%20Grounds%20%28275%29.JP G
The goal was to have nice paint but not perfect. Just nice. Kenny of course being who Kenny is kept making it nicer and nicer. I'm not worried about scratches dings or small dents on this car as it will add to the character that I so want on the car.
I want people to walk up to the car and see all of the little details that Kenny and the guys did at the shop. The Engine bay has turned out way better then I could have imagined and when you see it with the red MSD coils I hope everyone feels the same way about as I do.
As for the interior I wanted to do Black with Red Accents on Syborg but it just fit the project. So this project had to have all the interior I have been thinking about for years. The cool part is this is just the first version of the interior and the final version is so over the top that I can't wait to start on that version.
I am also looking forward to building the new Scott Mock Subframe up and I am hoping I can convince Al's kids to come over and help me detail out the suspension components like they are doing on there 5th gen Camaro. I have a few crazy idea's for it as well.

I didn't even seen the post from them That is pretty cool.
Kenny still has the car and I will be getting it after the first of the year since I have no where to stick the car since the Bumble Bee is in my warehouse and there is another car on the rack in my garage.

Hi Lenie,
Thank you Kenny did a great job finishing the car. I would love to see pictures as I really didn't take any of the car at sema.

The car really came out nice. I have said it before, but your thread has become a blueprint for building a nice second gen. I have borrowed a few ideas like the DSE 67-69 brackets and the Ridetech weld on brackets (which I may not use after all, but they really clean things up). The DSE folks even called me and told me I ordered the wrong MC brackets, but after seeing how it fit on your car I stuck with that part number.

This was my first SEMA and it was so awesome seeing all these cars I've only read about and seen pix of. As soon as I saw the mountain bike sticking out of the side of a 2nd gen I knew I'd found 2nd Chance. Seeing it in person makes a world of difference, i mean you know it's nice from the pics but you don't get a feel for how nice until you see it up close and personal. Very cool car and I took a ton of pics for my sister who also owns a second Gen and needs a new direction.

Glad to see somebody else tried the Line-X under the car. Planning to do that to my 71 Firebird as well. Did you use a rotisserie? If so where were your mounting points? Sweet ride by the way!!

The car has been quietly resting at Kenny's in Arkansas due to the Awesome winter we have been having here in Chicago. It look like I will be picking it up at Indy Good Guys in June.
So for now I am currently working on the 2010 Camaro that I took in partial trade for the Syborg truck. I am trying to get it ready for a couple track events this summer and the mostly the Power Tour. I am working with the Guys at LG Motorsports on the suspension and chassis stiffeners. Next year I will most likely do the full DSE conversion. But for now it just wasn't in the budget.
I also think the car needs more color and of course some Carbon Fiber as it it way to yellow.
ps It sucks having two cars to work on as I don't know which one to work on first. However I did get this really cool chassis from Scott Mock for the 70 which I will work over the next year or two.

After the summer (winter 2014/2015) the plan is to redo the trunk and some of the interior. Victor Fulton did an awesome sketch for me and the plan is to do something that no one has ever done to a camaro. A few people have seen it and all agree it's really cool and it is going to be a one of kind for sure.

You bringing the 5th gen to the Power Tour?
Are you long hauling?

I don't have the budget or the time off for the long haul this year - so I might make it to Knoxville and hit up the Dragon on the way home.

Looks like i am going to start in Hamond Indiana and finish in the Dells. I am hoping my sister lets me take my Nephew as I think he will have a blast.
Since Kenny will still have the 70 the plan is to take the 5th gen again. It's hard to beat the creature comforts of that car.
ps I don't have the time off either and my wife spent the vacation budget in Punta Cana last week with my daughters
Thanks Marty!

Nice - I blew half the budget getting the motor together this winter, and now I am sending the car to fat camp - to get the front end a little bit more muscular. You should see those updates in a few weeks!
My parents still live up in Rockford, so the end of the trip I could crash up there but I just don't see it happening after I get the final bill from front end conversion.
Let us know how the 5th gen Pfadt parts install.
I found there instructions less than ideal - and honestly man Corvetteforum is a terrible source of getting information. You basically have to pull teeth to find people that have the knowledge and are willing to share it. Unlike this site, ls1tech, and pro-touring - people are a lot more helpful.
Of course thats just my opinion - haha.

2nd Chance Camaro - Size Does Matter - Which in the end might not Matter
Size Does Matter- Which in the end might not Matter
Posted: Nov 04, 2011 www.2ndchancecamaro.com
Last week I was looking at the tires stored in Mario's 69 Camaro. I couldn't help but notice that his tire looked skinny compared to the 335 BFG tire sitting in my garage. I kept telling Mario that my 335 was much bigger then his 345 and he said no way. So I took his tire home to find out if I was correct. I figured a side by side test would be the only way to prove that the BFG KDW 2 are indeed bigger.
Left: BFG 335 35 18 ( 14" Wide )
Middle: Michelin 345 __ 19 ( 13" Wide )
Right: BFG 295 35 18 ( 12" Wide )
Close up of the BFG 335 & Michelin 345 -- The BFG is 1" Wider

Close Up of the Michelin 345 & the BFG 295 -- Not much of a difference
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2015/12/20/20151220210048-87daef51-me.jpg
The BFG 335 height compared to the BFG 295 - you can see the difference is much greater
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2018/12/15/20181215225839-0e58e9fd-me.jpg
Also the height is much taller on the Michelin.
http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/upload/2015/12/20/20151220210049-4e7e5271-me.jpg
The plan has to been to run the 295's on the street and the 335's for Good-Guys events. In the end I may only be able to run the 295 on the back of 2nd Chance Camaro because I can't get the bracket from DSE.
Why you ask ?
The Mini-Tubs I purchased from DSE will fit the 335's. However, since I didn't buy there complete leaf spring conversion kit I am unable to purchase the front offset sping pocket I need to complete the conversion. Where I am confused is I can buy offset shackle & spring perch's but not the lower spring pocket - odd. I had the Allen (really nice sales guy) ask Kyle if I could purchase them and Kyle said no dice which kinda sucks.
So now I may be forced to run only the 295's full time. So Buyer Beware if buy the DSE Mini-Tubs you are going to have to make your own lower mounts for the front or by one of there 3 kits DSE offers. Sometimes you
win sometimes you lose.
I do have a couple Options
Option A:
Buy there Mini-Tub Kit # 041221 $1699.00 which doesn't include Leaf Springs & Shocks which will give you an 1.5" drop and then sell the other parts you don't need. Seems expensive but it's only money and you can't take it with you.
Option B:
Would be to have a local fab shop make a set of offset shackle mounts to complete the conversion. If I go this route I will make a couple extra to help out the two other guys I know that are in the same boat as me.

Right now i'm running a KDW 245/17 up front and don't have enough tire and i'm running a 275 in the back. I want to run a 315 and my next door neighbor is running the Nitto 05 315/17 on his and its exactly 12" wide, od of the tire, not the tread or seating bead.
I plan on mini tubbing it but its runnin sooo good with the leafs, i dont wanna change it. Only want to change the rims tires to get more meat, for looks and performance....
I tracked it a few weeks back with Greg and Seig and the car ran fantastic, just need more power and a little more grip, but shes very predictable.
Keith (Custom Works) did the clip, steering, Speed tech, coil-overs, and the Holley/Hooker swap and the car handles very good and is very controlable/predictable......fun to drive.
Went for a 45 min pedal today, 106* out, ugh....good thing i gotta large water like tub in the back yard....
