Strange 9 inch and axles ,Fab 9 housing done by MCC.MCC hand made fuel tank. Marquez door panels with Recaro seats ,the interior is going to be pretty much stock, I always loved the deluxe console with the gauges in it.Full cage..Anvil front carbon fiber wheel houses .ISIS multiplex electrical. Drive by wire? A couple years ago I was visiting home and took my old baja bug out for a drive to the store. The throttle cable broke near the gas pesal. I called my dad and he came out to help me. We ran the throttle cable through the back window and he sat in the back seat pulling the wire to operate the gas while I worked the brake, clutch and shifter. We drove it home! Team work.

I am glad that I am not the only one who thinks the hood is cool. I know it doesn't fit with the rendering, but if you really built the car to be aggressive with a street fighter look, you definitely could keep it. The other recommendation would be to consider sending the hood to pain along with the hood that you are going to run. Use the scooped hood for track days.

Too many years ago to remember how many now ---- my brother in law (best friends then - until I married his little sister) had a pink and white International Harvester (like a version of a full size blazer) and it had a transplanted Oldsmobile with tri power... the throttle pedal was hooked to the center 2 bbl -- and a piece of ROMEX (house wire) was hooked to the other two --- it came in thru the firewall and under the dash and made a loop back to the dash and was tired off to some switch that didn't pull out --- if he wanted to cut in the extra deuces -- he'd mash the pedal to the floor and reach over and pull on this "wire"....
Too dang funny! We just didn't know how - or didn't care - to figure out how to make some "real" linkage.

I was thinking about this on the way into work today. Right now the only original metal on my car is the rear body panel and rockers.
Mario, if you question the roof, just do it. The replacement roof is a nice piece and it sure makes welding a rollbar in much easier.

I agree, the roof panel is a nice piece, probably the best of all the repop stuff. Rockers cowl and rear inner fenderwells were the only thing I kept from my orginal car. Well did a little more over the weekend and uncovered more rust problems! It's the only thing I can't replace without buying a whole new side section. So these are going to be the only two sections that are going to have to be patched. Not to worried about its a pretty simple fix..:_paranoid I did have some good news the rocker panels are in pretty good shape,as of right now will see when it goes out to get blasted in the next couple of weeks. I'm not going to cut them off unless I have to..
Replaced the bottom inner structures on mine. I made a custom patch for one before the repops became available, should be very easy now for about $80 a side: http://www.classicindustries.com/controller.cfm?type=product&action=productDetail&productId=126190&productSearchCatalogId=1

Doom...
We have a bunch of stuff just sitting in the shop like new trunk floor, new rear quarters, fiber glass hood, All different types of 69 stuff that was either left over from my build.... or we jumped the gun and bought stuff that we ended up not needing. If any of that is of interest to you... give me a shout.
Good luck on the build.... those brakes are HOT!!

Started to remove more sheet metal and things are a llittle better . I wanted to have it to the blaster last week but I caught a serious bacterilal infection that had me down for a couple of weeks, I'll make a big push this weekend to have the majority of the sheet removed . Then I have to make a cowl jig before I cut the cowl out. I was going to wing it until I talked to Mike at MCC and he STRONGLY advised me to make the jig!!! So I hope I can have it to the blaster next weekend .

Well I finally removed the floor from the old dog ! And that revealed a new surprise. I thought I would be able to save at least the inner rockers ! Well thats not going to happen. Just ordered new full rockers from DNR Camaro along with a complete new dash. I finished up my ''custom cowl jig'' so the cowl can come out this week. It's not a work of art but it works. I'm going to make some refrence points for the rockers and remove the cross bars.Hopefully I can send it off to the blasters this week:_paranoid My shops been real busy so it cuts into my ''project time'' . I asked Mike to spray my trunk area with the black if he needed to re prime it, so it will be easier to put the aqua trunk paint on later.

Now thats funny!!  But paybck is so sweet.
The floors in !!!!:willy: Not welded in yet, I have it set in so I can make sure the sub frame mounts are in the correct location. I have a couple of issues I have to tend to, the right side of the toe board is coming up short on the right rocker . And it seams that the floor is coming up short to the toe board so I might have to do some pulling and stretching to get this thing to fit!!

A little surprise from Mike at MCC!!! All though Im far away from this point I've been going back and forth between center exit or the Marquez/Orion look for the rear valance. Well Mike made that decision for me :wow: I droped my camera and should have it back soon I'll have some updates soon.
