Tiny update from Troy .. The firewall and trans tunnel are next on the list. We're waiting for the transmission to come in so we can start fitting all the mounts. So everything is in a hold pattern untill it arrives..:lateral:

Hey Mario, first thing is you gotta love the progress. Looks great! I need to ask, can you provide any details on how you made the ZR1 brakes fit? Did you need to update the hubs, etc. Thanks again - Ron

Ron ... DSE uses stock Corvette spindles. It was pretty much a bolt on for the front . I did change the bearings to a ZR-1 spec, from what I understand the ceramic rotors generate more heat than a conventional rotor.I also had to run 19's for clearance. Kore3 handled the back, again no problem.

Everone thinks its the calipers that are the main cost of this setup. Not the case the rotors are the killer $1700.00 list a piece!!:faint: Thank god for Mr Stielow!! These were going on Red Devil at one time. He set me up with a great deal ...

You might check and see if suppliers like Summit and other big retailers have the trans instock since they are big stocking dealers. I would rather pay a few bucks and get it now if possible. Summit sells the Magnum T56.

Mario, to me, either way will be sick as the dash is so nicely drawn up and designed anyway. But, for me, preference wise, I like the square vents.

Round, is first choice for me. You could go with Chevy Sonic vents. I just got a set to put in a car and there not very expensive at all. Just my 2 cents. since you asked. (they look more like a factory offering) I like the whole layout of the dash, Very nice

There is a lot factory vents I have been looking at that are different sizes and don't cost much at all and work very well in the looks department. I bought a set of Chevy Cruze vents(chrome ring on the edge) and 2 sets of Sonic vents, (black edge and gray edge) for less than a $100 bucks at the dealer.

Bingo. What Todd said.

The rectangular ones might be more similar in shape to the gauge cluster, but they aren't integrated into the design as well as the round ones are, and in my opinion, really distracts the eye from more important parts of the interior. Plus, I think there are enough round shapes, i.e. switches and knobs, as well as soft edges that round works ok.

Mario,
Why do you need to stress your self out about a tranny. Call up any local Automotive recycling center (junk yard) and get a t56 out of any 1994-2002 camaro and send it to D&D performance, or finish line transmission for the Viper internal rebuild/upgrade. Buy the appropiate bell housing and clutch and you'll be all set. Once they get the core they usually turn them around fairly quickly.

I have a part that would look good on your march performance ultra drive set , we ended up making a new cross brace from the PS to the AC pump and not using the one in the picture with the 3 holes in it, its yours if you want it, can be easily painted to match your car (IMO the part they use reminds me of star trek)

Not 100% sure what Scott has but looks like the setup on our Camaro.

K&N 66-3040: 14" X-Stream assembly with 3" filter & 1 1/4" drop base.
Note: Ours came with a chrome base that I will need to powdercoat black sometime to match the top..

PM me your mailing address and i will send it to you,, (On the house). we took all the components apart (including the alternator) and then painted eveything body color or black, at the time we purchased our system they were not available in black. i agree only "Spock" and fellow members of the Enterprise would use that top brace out of the box. dont get me wrong March's parts are really nice just not my flavor on that one part.

Thanx everyone!!! Rob the TT is not going to happen. The bottom line is I have to stop going backwards on this car. The cost of redoing everything to make the TT was getting crazy. Aside from the cost of the engine $54,000.00 I had the trans originally upgraded to 1000 hp now I would have to have that upgraded more to handle the additional hp god knows how much more than the $8000.00 I already have into it! Then the rear end that I already have then the radiator I already have! You get the picture. Steve Morris has something awesome he's going to build for me so we can keep everything we have, this way we can keep moving forward . Stay tune!!:G-Dub:

Rick, Troy has been kickin butt on the car but there is still few things that need to be done before it comes to me . We decided to have Troy start the first round of bodywork at his place so he can address any issues that might need tending to . Just being on this board makes me crazy. You don't know how many times I've called Troy and asked him to make changes because I saw something on here. Changes at this time really can't happen we have a plan and we are staying the course. So paint WILL start at mid to late March. Troy Is going to have all the rough body work done before it comes to me . Then I can do my thing and get it back to him for all the final assembly. TIC TOC TIC TOC!!!!

As always guys thanx for the props ! Greg trust me I learned my lesson!!! I can't even donate paint to my own car as crazy as that sounds. Everything that's going on my car will be paid for by me . PPG has been a great product for me and I can't blame them for cutting me off the program. I could never produce a complete finished product for them. The last deal I wound up paying everything out of my pocket (almost $3500.00) just to save myself from looking like a azzhole !! I wound up eating everything because the shop wasn't ''comfortable'' using PPG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WTF!!!!!!!!!!! Can you imagine ! And the shop knew I had everything ready to go. I was calling them to deliver it and that's when they tell me the above comment!! I still have the silver and orange on my shelf to remind myself never to do it again . Sorry for the rant but when I hear DONATION its like my SLOWLY I TURN MOMENT! :soapbox:
