Hey guys!

Doing a little upkeep on my Dad's car;

Back when we built it, we used Howell Engineering for the harness and ECM. Big mistake! Their customer service sucked! After correcting a missplaced wire (ok, that happens), we still had problems. After double checking EVERYTHING, I came up with a bad ECM. The car would, while in closed loop, suddenly run so rich it would bellow black smoke, and hardly run. Then, just as quickly it would clear! Never set a code, and all perameters looked good. After arguing that "it can't do that," I finally got them to agree that it must be the ECM. But when they sent the replacement (and that took a bit of arguing!) it idles too high.

My point:

I need to get the ECM reprogrammed. It's a pre-OBD2 (not an OBD-2) ECM from an LT-1 running an LT-4 Corvette assembly-line engine. Can anyone reccomend a good place to get this done?

Thanks!
Bill

They provide a wide range of pcm/ecm programming for different years. They have great customer service and fast service!

I also run a PCMforless tune from Bryan Herter in my Impala. :thumbsup: I have since had a local guy do a little tweaking to it, but Bryan is the main guy all the Impala SS crowd uses.

Good luck,
Randy
