Almost no tickets on 2007 PT - Lateral-g Forums

I made it home in the Ultima tonight. 2900 miles total, 22 mpg avg.
I was 10 minutes from home and I encountered a state trooper. He passed by as I was coming up to a stop on a side road, he did a double take. I pulled out behind him, kept it at 55, he was about a half mile ahead and was slowing down and pulled to the side of the road to wait for me, I turned on the next side road before I got to him. Sure enough he turned around and came after me. Cop was asian kid about 22, looked 16. Asked a few questions about the car, checked everything then wrote me for no front plate.

He just had to prove that, although you must have more money than him, he is more powerfull than you! Around here, the cops like to tailgate, even when they aren't going to pull you over. I got lucky on the way home. Rolled past a cop at 85 in a 65. I saw him pull out. Luckily for me, about a 1/4 mile later, I saw a minvan with mom and kids stranded on the side of the road. I guess the cop must have stopped to help, because I never saw him again.

"stopped" maybe, "to help" is an oxymoron.
'to help' with revenue enhancement maybe.
'to help' you into the back of his patrol car maybe.
'to help' show his best side for the camera maybe.
'to help' ask you leading questions that will incriminate you for some violation, of some law, some were, some how.

In case I haven't given my rant in a while...
No matter what question the cop asks the answer is NO.
'Have you been drinking? NO
'Did you run that light? NO
"Did you wake up this morning? NO
"Do you love you wife? NO
The answer is ALWAYS NO.
As soon as you say YES you have admitted guilt and the cop will write you a ticket or take you to jail.
There is no down side to lying to the cop. He can't arrest you for lying and he can't arrest you for something you didn't admit to doing.
If he saw you break the law (very unlikely) he won't ask.

I got stopped once and the cop asked if I had been drinking. I said NO, he wanted to do the breath test (I should have refused, he would have arrested me, then I could have sued for false arrest (when I passed the breath test) and that would have paid for all of my car projects and my house.) After the breath test he came back to the car with a smile, he knew I had been drinking, but was well under the limit, and I didn't admit to drinking so he sent me on my way. I lied to the cop, he knew it, but there was nothing he could do except smile and tell me to 'have nice day'.

The last time I was stopped for speeding by the 'duo radar gun guys on the down side of a huge hill' I rolled down the window just far enough to slip a license and proof of insurance out. There is no need for a conversation with the "revenue enhancement department', unless you look like Pam Anderson and your REALLY think that will help, but I doubt it.

You always have better luck in front of a judge, then on the side of road with some 'John Wayne'.

nice rant, but ive never seen worse cops in my life than in this little hole in the wall town called "blairsville" in P.A, im here for wyotech now and ive seen people get tickets for "driving to safely" in the snow, "signaling for too long" and other stupid crap like this and their favorite ticket to give out is for window tint.....which is a $106 dollar fine btw unreal, their was a guy that got a speeding ticket for 15over and his ticket was only $100. i hate this place.

Boca Raton (the city just north of Deerfield) has a quota that they must meet in number of tickets given each month. They were only giving like 5-7 tickets per officer, then the Cheif got all mad, and now they will hunt you down..
