It's great how the news says if you run the cops won't chase but if your stopped they will take your bike.

There's a group of riders in Oakland that ride about a dozen strong. They almost ran me over one day. I have no idea what's cool about riding a dirt bike on the street. It's a TON more fun on the trails. Besides, I have a thing for speed, not how far I can ride a wheely.

I lived and worked in Baltimore city in the late 90s and this has been a major problem for years. They used to chase the rides with cars helicopters and everything else but they guys on bikes kept wiping out and killing themselves so they stop chasing them after a cop got in an accident and either died or got seriously injured I can remember it was a while ago. All they do is ride wheelies all day long up and down the streets as fast as they can go it get really annoying after awhile

Judging from their ages, I am guessing they are early retirees from the dot com world, kicking back, and enjoying the high life.

or not........

On a side note, I am sure that they have full auto insurance on those and full medical coverage so if something goes wrong they won't be screwing the state or other people's insurance companies.
