Pro-Touring Trans am Convertible
National Coach Engineering Conversion - Custom Roadster

Car was chemically stripped and E-coated at Detroit Speed & Engineering. Rebuilt from ground up using all new suspension components.
This is an original National Coach Engineering Trans am. They made approx 500 of these from 79-81. We converted it into a roadster. All Custom work in the rear is all metal. Frame has been re-enforced. 69 Pontiac 400 "YS" motor with 68 72cc heads. Edlebrock performer setup. TH350 trans
Below is a list of the work that has been performed.
Chemical Strip full e-coat
400 "YS" block with 68 72 cc heads (Full Edelbrock performer setup) Compression approx 9.6 to 1 (Dished pistons)
Demon 750 carb
Harlan Sharp Rollers
TH350 with B&M stall and shift kit
New Paint ( Boyd Red ) Same color as junkyard dog
Custom Interior / Door panels
New Weather Stripping
A/R thrust 2's 17X8 & 17X9.5
New BF Goodrich Tires 275 & 245's
Baer Sport brakes with Red powdered calipers / zinc coated
Optima Red Top
Custom Dash panel with Auto Meter Gauges with red needles
All Reciepts and Documented information available with the car
BODY: Just Completed, Very straight and rustfree. (See pics)
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Firewall smoothed by Detroit Speed. MSD billet dist and MSD 6 box hidden under dash. March Sepentine System, Rodney Red Radiator. Jim Butler Valve Covers.
TRANSMISSION: TH350 with B&M stall and shift kit. Runs and drives very strong, shifts very smooth.
REAREND: New Richmond 3.73 gears.
EXHAUST: New dual flowmasters with Pypes tips.
BRAKES/TIRES/SUSPENSION: Full Hotchkis suspension front/Rear. Edelbrock IAS shocks. Have Global West Uppers (Not installed). Sub frame powder coated.
INTERIOR: The interior has been completly customized. New seats and door panels. Custom Dash panel houses autometer phantum gauges with custom red needles. New Center console, Shift panel. New Lokar brake/Gas pedels. New Kick Panels, CD Player with 6 1/2 JL's in the kick panels. JL Amp in rear. New Door sill plates installed and all weather stripping new. Momo Steering wheel.
Needs completed. Front Spoilers need to be fitted to the car. (1 set painted, 1 new set comes with car) Spot on hood approx 1 inch needs repaired(March alt bracket hit it when test fitting the hood and created a small spider web. Have shaker scoop painted need bottom fit to the car. (This will be completed by the sale)

It only hit I think 12k. I think people are afraid of it being a roadster with no top.
