Default Behind the Scenes: Mark Stielow

I've hinted earlier this year that I have some new things in the works for Lateral-g.net. Here's one of them.

Behind the Scenes with Lateral-g.net
A new feature that we are rolling out is called Behind the Scenes. It's a look at the people that have made an impact on the modern muscle car building styles and trends. We've all seen the cars and projects, this is look at how these people got to where they are today. Kicking off this new feature is a story on Mark Stielow. It's a story about what he has accomplished and how he's gotten to where he's at. It also includes pictures of past projects and events, such as 1 Lap of America. I have many more people lined up, so look for regular additions this spring and summer!

Behind the Scenes: Mark Stielow
Growing up in North Kansas City, Missouri, Mark was always busy at his Dad's garbage hauling business. Access to the shop allowed Mark to develop his skills and build a love of wrenching that he still enjoys today... MORE>>

Great job Scott.

The work that Mark has done in the past has been a huge motivation behind the OneLapCamaro project - Inspiration by Demonstration. Mark's design forsight has been increadible and he has changed this hobby forever. Thanks for giving us a more personal look at the man behind the cars.

I'm already looking forward to the next one.

Sweet idea Scott!!

Great story and a great guy! I have to admit the first article on The Mule is what got me off the sport bikes and into the Camaro project!! I love Marks build style and the fact that he doesn't let them become street rods...but lets them remain muscle cars with modern tech!!

Man he had a lot of cars before college! Which one was Tri-Tip, the first One Lap car?

Awesome, I always loved Mark's vision and his projects. If it weren't for him I may have never built my car. The Thrasher & Mule were big inspirations for me. Great job on the page Scott, I love reading stories about pioneers in any industry. And Mark is for sure at the top for pro-touring.
