Default Finally purchased a car, but...

Its not what I expected. Its a long story, but after 3 months, I finally bought the following car. This all started when 3 months ago I started researching building a 69 pro-touring camaro. After much debate, I decided against spending 50k for a "project" that would just take time away from my kids.
Somehow, I came across a used z06 and realized I could have a long time dream for half the cost of the camaro project. Having grown up with my grandpa and uncle owning the local Chevy dealership, Ive always loved vettes.

Im the newbie that was looking at the nice 68 pro touring orange with white "funny" rally stripes. Then I was going to just build one from a roller.

Anyways, Ive committed treason, I know. But I wanted to keep you all informed. Many of you were so good in educating me. Thanks for all your help.

Heres pics:

Thanks! I do not have the car yet. I need to find a reliable transporter to get it from Florida to New Mexico.

It should have about 490 RWHP, but a few have told me it should get more than that. No 1/4 mile vids since I dont have the car, but supposedly ran 11.6 w/ street tires.

Default I would have been all over that one

myself. It appears to be very nice and really no work on your part. Please report back and tell us how it runs.
