Default New guy

Hi guys, new member here. I stumbled onto this site through Pro-touring.com. You guys have some awesome cars!

I have a ‘68 Camaro that I have been doing some work on. Just finished rebuilding the front end with DSE control arms, 2" drop springs, Bilstein shocks, all new tie rods, idler arm and pitman arm and rebuilt 3rd generation Z-28 steering box. Also added Baer 13" track system up front and new 17" Wheel Vintiques Billet Rallye Wheels. Next step is the rear suspension.

Nice!

What did you use for power steering hoses for that steering box?

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Mark, I have the stock power steering hoses on there for now. I purchased the rag joint and inserts for the hoses from Lee Manufacturing. The inserts make it possible to to use the stock hoses on the 3rd generation box which has metric threads. I had no trouble threading the hoses into the box and have had no leaks yet. A phone number for Lee Manufacturing is (818)768-0371. The kit was about $60. If you just need the inserts and not the rag joint, they were about $4 each.

Welcome aboard. Nice 68 you have, although I think I'm biased.
