Default Uh oh, MWR got the book thrown at them

$100,000 for putting sterno in the intake manifold. I wonder how much additional power that makes. I can't imagine it would be a whole lot?

He lost 100 driver and owner points too.

It's about time they start getting tough with the cheaters. If you're dumb enough to get caught, you deserve to have the book thrown at you... if you're clever enough to get away with it, more power to you!

I read it was a jellied version of jet fuel...It is supposed to bleed off with the mixture increase power and leave no residue...supposed to...

Nascar needs to start hammering the drivers, not the crew chiefs if they want to stop all this monkey business. It might piss off the fans, but the teams would get the message pretty quick. Just my 2 cents.

I guess we know that Waltrip is not smarter than NASCAR. I hope they nail all the cheaters hard. Chad Knauss is on my list of cheaters. Harvic's crew chief is also a repeat offender.

It's not cheating, it's just rules not in Asscars rule book yet!

Default Did I hear

That with Waltrips manifold that it would not seal properly, thus creating an air leak to all cylinders. Run it a little fat and get extra airflow from the leak...that is inovation.

I'm pretty sure NASCAR has rules specifically stating what fuels they can use. Jet fuel isn't one of them.

If Waltrip's crew cracked the motor open that would be a no-no according to Larry mac. He said that when he owned a toyota truck team that the engines came in ready to go and toyota told them not to touch anything on them. They had people to tune the motors for the teams. I would have to assume (i know) that the Nextel programs runs the same way.
