Default This was Pro-Touring before Pro-Touring was cool

I stumbled onto this car on Ebay:

I faintly remember this car in a car magazine in the early 80's - probably Car Craft.

The paint scheme is a little over the top by today's standards but it has some cool features, I think.

I saw that car at the Boyd Auto Auction, I think it barely went to over $20k, no sale. Car also no-saled at Mecum KC at $22,500 in December 06.

And now it's up to $32,600 already? And a $75, BIN? Yeah....

That actually wouldn't be bad looking if he lost the side pipes and painted it all one color. Bigger wheels would help too.

I think it looks pretty good. Something has to be said for retro mods. The car was ahead of it's time and quite tasteful for the early '80s.

I say... "Yes. Welcome to hollywood baby!"
