Default Seems that I looked at that one but I don't

remember. I think the leading car seat manufacturer is Britac, I am sure that I am spelling that wrong. They are out of Germany and have a North America operation as well. I think their seats are the safest and probably the most expensive. Saying that, my kids sat in an Eddie Bauer edition Kraco. Simpson Racing puts out a seat as well, you can find it on their website or look at www.summitracing.com

The Simpson seat is a re-covered Graco, I have a regular Graco kids seat and the Simpson version.

I always thought the Recaro kids seat looked cool, but I never bought one.

We used this one up until Sarah's legs were pressing against the backseat. She reached 25 lbs well before her 1st bday so we turned her around. We'll definitely be using this next time around.

Then we upsized:
Highly recommend Britax Marathon. It's more adjustable than most other brands so you won't have to get another as the child grows.

I like it because it's really easy to toss our 95th percentile, rambunctious 18 month old daughter into the Tblazer. I have an older Graco in my 2door Cavalier econobox and I hate it, the straps are awful and you can never get them untangled. Sarah hates being strapped into it too! Hopefully they've corrected that.

Consumer Reports had to retract a faulty review of childseats, so make sure you look into that as well.

I think you can buy custom racing style covers for any of these too. Maybe someone has a link to that.

We use the Britax for our daily driver and the Simpson for the '69 Camaro.

The Britax has the highest rating. The last place I wanted to cheap out was on the safety of my kids. The $225 is money well spent.

Don't know about the recaro, but the britax marathon is great! I really like the true side impact protection (TSIP)
