What percentage of owners on here paint / body work on their own cars?

I don't, I am more productive doing my line of work and having somebody else do the body and paint.

We do most in house as well. Body work makes such a mess in the shop so we moved our paint shop outside the fab shop to help with the mess.

i do all my own, too picky i could never afford to pay someone to block sand a car out as many times as i do to get it straight-chris

I do all the smaller projects my self, including paint, but when i can see it will turn into one of those year long projects i outsource when feasable..

I do all of my own... it's not perfect, but then again neither is the work at a pro-shop and that's why. You see, I can point out every freaking flaw in the body work, paint work, detail work, etc. on the cars I have done. A pro-shop would HATE me! They would probably have to kill me and weld me into a 55 gallon drum. So, to avoid all of the unpleasentries of someone having to go to jail just because I'm a pain in the butt, I do it myself.

I have done several of my own, and am currently doing the paint on Malitude. I am accepting help with the bodywork though! I can get it right but not in a timely manner, at least not quick enough to make Power Tour.
