Fun/Fast ride and behaves well in all driving profiles. Many have tried, but we know of no other verifiable and successful supercharged conversion of the C6 LS7 Z06 Corvette using the factory ECM on the planet. BTW, if you know of another one...let me know about it so I can try to verify. This Corvette started life from the factory at 451 RWHP and 418 RWTQ, so the tune and mods specified above resulted in 60% HP increase and 45% Torque increase. One of a kind C6 monster and priced reasonably at $99,000, OBO. Would make a good Power Tour ride for '07...in fact if I still have it then, my buddy will probably drive it while I drive my black '06 Z06 with twin turbo conversion.
we did some modest exhaust port work, but the only OEM internal engine part we replaced was the cam shaft. The custom thicker head gaskets with longer head studs helped lower the compression ratio sufficient to avoid BBQ pistons. ProCharger actually was reluctant to sell us an LS7 impeller and head until they came to our shop and went for test run with Gil because they had [or knew of] 2-3 engines that came unraveled using their original LS7 kit. The success of this supercharged LS7 is mainly due to the dozens of hours Gil spent remapping/tuning the factory ECM on the dyno to cohabitate with the blower. We're a ProCharger dealer, and unless things have changed recently...they don't/won't offer a supercharger kit for the LS7 Vettes presently. We've heard rumor of other shops success at supercharging the LS7, but have so far been unable to verify/confirm. It truly is a monster and never seems to run out of power...thankfully, the 345mm tires break loose before much risk of tranny/clutch failure. It sounds great and behaves well at the stoplight idle with the A/C going, but INSTANTLY comes to life at the touch of throttle. I'd venture to bet there are very few smog legal street cars out there that want anything to do with this Vette.
I can honestly say, I am a witness to the absolute wickedness of this car....that is my unsolicited exclamation at the end of the video, and for good reason....the car looks, sounds and performs phenomenally
