Default 335/30/18 BFG KDW are available

Just got back from SEMA and I talked to the BFG rep in depth about this tire.
The tire will be available as of this week.

The Rep was very aware of this tire and told me that they had many hurdles to cross with this tire but everything was complete and shipping was starting any day.

As a side note they built the tire for the Viper so he said there should be plenty of availability.

Hope this helps those of us that need or rather want this tire for their 18/12's.

Matt

not availiable till start of 07.

Thay have had that size in the catalog since SEMA 2005.

Here is the last e-mail I got from BFG.

Robert,

Thank you for your email. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.

Unfortunately, they have moved production back to January.

I made a couple of calls to order and I got the same type of answer. This is getting frustrating...I hope they really are getting close to a delivery date. The guy I spoke with at SEMA told me the R&D was finished and he thought they Should start deliveries any day...so much for that.

Fortunately I don't need tires for a couple more months, but for those ready right now this is getting old.

Thanks for the update,

Matt

I talked to them as SEMA as well, and the story I got was that the new 335 will be based on the next generation of KDW and will have an all new tread pattern. Anyone else hear anything like that?

If this link works I have the new tread mounted on my fronts (275/35/18) and I am waiting on the 335/30/18s for the rear. Just go to the thread New Budnik wheels and you can see the tires I can't get the link to work.

Well there is currently 2 styles, the KDW and the KDW2. Did you mean there is going to be a KDW3? if so I haven't heard anything about that. I like the aggressive look of the KDW2, thats what I want in a 335/30/18.

That's how I understood it. The guy at the show said that was the reason for the delays. But who knows. I guess we'll find out early next year.

Wow Scott. This is now three different stories I have heard. The most credible story I heard was that the 335s were going to manufacturing "next week", they are KDW2s and there was already a huge backlog. He admitted that they really screwed up by advertising them for a year in advance. My impression was that I could not dream of getting them for months at best. At that point I went ahead and ordered Pilot Sports and got them the next day. Too bad because I really love the look of the KDW2s.

I also wanted the KDW2 for my car. I also couldn't wait so I bought a used set of Pilots on ebay so I could have a tire to stick under the car for mock up.
