Default My new shop

My new shop is pretty much done. I figured I'd show it off. It is a 30x50. I cant wait to start working on my car more now since I have room.

Anyone have suggestions on what I need to get. I just have basic tools right now(been using my dads tools all my life). So what should I have on my list to get.

Yeah I'm going to be short on money for a while. But the plan is to pull apart the car to fix a bunch of little things and paint a bunch of stuff. So I'm going to be doing alot of low buck stuff to make it a better car.

Default Low buck stuff

Some kind of blast cabinet and a MIG welder. I'd say some time spent on eBay is in order! When I had my first Camaro EVERYTHING seemed to be grungy so when I had access to a media blasting cabinet at work I went nuts refurbishing just about anything that would find in that cabinet. Made a HUGE difference in the appearance department. I don't want to even begin to guess how much Eastwood "Chassis Black" I went through. Good instant gradification reconditioning some of those grungy looking old parts!

Ok, I need to get a jealous smiley.

I'm working on (re)wiring my shop right now. I finally got 220. Now if I only had as much space as you.

Get a lift. I bought a 4 post lift and use it everyday. Get the casters too..then you can move the cars in and out...even outside...we do this to wash the chassis off outside.

try:

www.e-autolifts.com

$2400 or so delivered.
