Default 6L80E Transmission

Item Location (City/State):TX

Price:$800+shipping

Description: I have a 2WD, 6L80 out of an 08 Escalade with an L92 and 18,000 miles on it. It includes the torque converter, flexplate and dipstick. Bought this a few years ago from a LG forum member and I've decided not to use it in my C10. Local pick-up is cool too.

Tempting, but...must ...resist...

What about the L92?

Naw, no L92. But this is on it's way to Tennessee to you though. Don't resist....don't fight the feeling.

Looks like tq/hp ratings about the same as 4L80E? Do you know what it needs to run behind a BBC other than controller (will it require the LS-based ECU and TCU)? -Bob

Holding out for a LS3/6L90 combo for the wifes project...

GLWTS! That's a killer deal with those miles!

The trans controller is inside the 6L80E. Check out the Speartech site for details on how it is removed and programmed etc. For non LS applications you will need an additional controller to talk to the internal controller.

Thanks for the clarification Don. I had no idea as I was gonna run it behind an LS based application.

Now..now, c'mon Jeff. Waiting on the right combo will be like hitting the lottery for all things to align, as far as right amount of miles vs pricing, etc. You can be half way there with this one. Besides, you'll be buying from someone you know. Then, all you gotta do is get an LS3, which can be done on any 4 corners of the US.

I have a stand alone TCM if you want to run this behind something other than a Gen IV engine with ECM.
