Description: 1964 Citroen 2cv
This definitely isn't a Lat G car, but there are members here who have varying car tastes, so here it is!
Up for your consideration is a 1964 Citroen 2cv. This particular car is a Fournet rebuild done in the 1980's, hence it is up to what was the final specification for these cars. This includes the large displacement 602cc flat twin which produces a mighty 28hp, inboard front disc brakes, 12 volt electrical system, and the latest safety equipment, such as it was. This 2cv also has what is known as the "Adventure" kit, which includes the tubular front and rear bumpers, headlight guards and cutaway rear wings (fenders). It also has the roof rack, which I've only seen on one other car on the Internet, so I'm guessing that it's pretty rare. The only thing missing from the kit are the plastic fender protectors, which are available here:
http://www.vgs2cv.be/index.php/en/ke...-kevlar-detail. The originals where heavily damaged by the sun, and discarded by the previous owner.
I've owned the car for 11 years and I purchased it from it's first owner after it was imported, an architect in San Francisco. it has trundled along for a around 134,000 Km so far. Top speed is about 65 mph on a good day!
There are some issues with the car. It does have a salvage title from a very minor accident that the previous owner had involving the driver side fender, no suspension damage. The insurance company decided that they didn't want to deal with it, so it was totaled. The car currently has some minor damage around the grille, which was there when I got it. It also has rust in the passenger side floorboard, which was also there when I purchased it, but there is only minor surface rust on the center chassis. It has sat most of the last 2 years due to my dad's illness and recent passing, so it could use a good service. The car has always been garaged and has never seen rain the whole time I've owned it.
I'm open to all offers as it's time to sell it to free up cash for other projects. It's a really fun little car and it gets smiles whenever I drive it!
