Default Help!!!!! Help!!! Heellllppp!!!

well in my earlier post i was trying to get the 66 Bonneville started.

it has a 68 400 motor in it.

i did the usual tips to get it round..

it did have a low battery so i put in a new one.

it was low in gas but i put in 2 and a half gallons in.

its on a slight hill.. i dunno if that is affecting the gas lines.

i put fuel in the carb to prime it up.. but i might have accidentally put in too much.. but during the whole thing i tried to start it while priming.

i dont know what to do!.. it was running so good earlier..

please help me out guys!

You should be able to look down the carb, work the throttle and see the accelerator pumping gas down the carb. If not you either need more gas , the accelerator pump needs rebuilding or you have a bad check valve in the fuel pump and you lost the fuel from the tank to the pump. If you can't see it pumping in the carb when you work the throttle, Pour half a cup of gas in the carb, hold the pedal to the floor and crank it. If it is flooded..hold the pedal to the floor and crank it.
