Default My other hobby...What's yours?

So cars are definitely my biggest and most favorite hobby. But I do love going fast...and sometimes nothing is better than flying around on a dirt bike. The sense of being out in the open is just amazing.

Here's a little video I shot last week of a day trip I went on.

What are some of your other hobbies?

Cool video Tim (and thread idea), I love dirt biking too. Had been out of it for quite a few years until I got my kids each one and decided to try this thing:

Quite a few years ago, my last bike was a CR 500, loved that thing.

I also play as much tennis as I can and dabble in photography too.

That trials bike is sweet! My uncle dabbles in trials from time to time. It would be fun to poke around on for sure.

I'm not as fast as I use to be...or how fast I think I use to be. I just go have fun. I'm happy to be on the bike enjoying the whole experience. I always follow the rule my Dad taught me "Always ride like you have to work on Monday." That tends to scale back the "I can easily clear this jump" mentality.

Ahhhh yes....fish! I was super into that for awhile. Mine was a 110 gallon tank, all African Cichlids as well. The black and white guys...forget their name now, but I had one of those too. He was my favorite. I sold my set up a few years back when I was dirt poor and moved. I should have just stuffed it in a corner at my parents!!! I'd love to get another tank here soon. My buddy actually has one waiting for me, I just need somewhere to put it now. I loved the African Cichlids, but I had the idea of doing a Rainbow Trout tank...sort of natural style. I gotta get a tank going first though.

I'll tell you, it's a lesson in balance and throttle control, and tons of fun. I got it because I've always wanted to try it and it's perfect for putting around with my kids who don't go that fast.

I've got a few hobbies. Surfing is my favorite, but I've raced motocross off and on for about 25 years, now I'm riding with my son.

This was about 10 years ago:

If I am on the crew when it heads out MA way you will have to come out. I'll give you a tour, let you sit in the pilot seat and make airplane noises for you.

Cool

Great thread!

I've been a dirt bike nut since about 1971 when I first got a Yamaha 360 MX for motocross and with a tire change, TT and flat track.

I soon made the switch to Husky and never looked back.

My fave was a 72 Husky 360 8-speed. Of course it had a regular 4-speed box with a 2-speed primary that you could engage by pulling a lever on the bars.

Best of both worlds, and let me tell you, in high range with the right gearing it had some awesome top end!

It looked like this one:
