6 link?

Was given this link today by a buddy. I've never heard of a 6 link before. And to be honest, I don't see the benefit of one over say a parallel 4 link or even a 3 link...thoughts?

It's an overly complicated 4 link. If you look at the upper bars in the front and rear they are pivoting on essentially a watts link. They do this mostly for packaging. It allows both forward links to package really low, so no floor mods, but you can still get a a decent instant center, although it looks like side view swingarm length would still be pretty short for a PT car.

I spent a bunch of time at PRI looking at this and determined that it is way to many moving parts and way too much compromise in the name of making a bolt in product. I do like the compartively extra low roll center but that makes routing the exhaust under the axle a PITA.

What I find a bit unusual is they went to a lot of effort w/ the watts links etc, for for/aft location and then put in a really short panhard rod. I wonder how much the axle moves sideways as it goes up and down.

Yeah, the PHB is on the short side, it is hard to calculate without measurments but typical side to side is about .060" to .080" with a PHB.
