Default Anthony Busack's "Project Silverback" '69 Camaro SS on Forgeline GA3C-SL Wheels

Anthony's "Project Silverback" '69 Camaro was built by Indiana's Paradise Road Rod & Custom and is powered by a 403ci LSX engine mated to a Tremec T56 transmission. It sits on a full Roadster Shop chassis and features RS by Penske coilovers and RS by Baer brakes. His Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measure 265/35ZR19 in the front and 345/30ZR20 in the rear wrapped around 19/20-inch Forgeline GA3C-SL wheels finished with Transparent Smoke centers and Polished outers. See more at: http://www.forgeline.com/customer_ga...w.php?cvk=1430

Note: Here is where it gets really interesting. The whole point of the "SL" versions of our Concave Series wheels (hence, GA3C-SL) is that we redesign the spokes to be longer and reach out beyond the rim register and over the step in the stepped lip outer. This, of course, requires a relatively narrow outer, because if you have a really deep outer, then the spokes will terminate too far inboard of the step (so there wouldn't be room for the spokes, and the wheel couldn't even be assembled).

So since Anthony's front fitment required a narrow outer, the GA3C-SL worked great. Notice how the spokes reach out over the step.

But with that wide outer in the rear, Anthony had to compromise. So we used the GA3C center (with the original spokes that terminate at the outside of the rim register) and just simply paired it with a stepped lip outer.

Very cool, Mark. Thanks for the explanation. It's interesting to hear how things look through the eyes of someone involved in wheel design. So many wheels look similar but at the same time have very nuanced differences that really help separate the designs from one another.

Wow. That's the prettiest wheel I've seen from you guys. Killer depth and spoke angles.
