This is confusing to me. I get that there are charity builds. I get there are tribute builds. But a Big Red charity tribute build from a 5th Gen?

No provenance, wrong gen, and what makes this car unique? Is the BR crew building it?

No offense intended to anyone or the hard work involved, just my humble opinion to provoke thought. Happy to delete if anyone objects.

Love the idea - will definitely be a great looking car when it's done. Would have loved to see it with a set of BBS E88 stepped up to 18"!

I don't know a ton about the details...but I do know that the Big Red team is building the car...there taking a brand new Z28, and pumping up the engine and suspension as the big red team can with the help of some TOP manufactures and proceeds go to Hero foundation (a service rehabilitation group)..RJ was very excited at dinner in Columbus and kept going on about how great it is to get to build this and help our service men with his Big Red name

Charlie is looking for big write offs this year.... LOL

I agree with your points.... except that - unless I was asked to donate - or buy the thing - why would I care.

I like the builder (BR) - the seller (BJ) - and it's pretty cool looking!! Other than that... it's a 5th Gen with all the points you make.

Ordinarily I'd say -- OH PLEASE... not another "charity build". But in this case I think the builder and the seller are good for their word and should get 'er done.

Thanks fellas. It wasn't clear to me in the first post that the BR crew was building it. I think that gives it some authenticity.

Like you Greg, I still think its the wrong gen but WTH do I know.

And Vince, you're correct. You ...
