Default Cruisin' the Smokies

If you live near Pigeon Forge, TN and you didn't go check out the events that took place... You missed out! There aren't many places that are much cooler than this area to hold a car show, cruise, and an autocross. The Smokey Mountains created a beautiful backdrop for the weekend. The crowd brought alot of people and extremely nice cars from miles around! There was a very solid field of competitors out on the autocross, all weekend. Several of the Ridetech cars and Ridetech customers graced the track with their presence, with a very good outcome!

Rob, from No-Limit Engineering, commandeered his C10 (Hellboy) into 2nd place. The truck was wrapped in pink all weekend, supporting the Susan G Komen foundation.

Chris Smith drove the 48 Hour Corvette, taking 4th place. This car has been very solid for us, since the build was over. We've still got some tweaks to make on it but nobody is upset about the way it's performed at the last few events!

Our own, Greg Schneider, put our 1966 Chevellle through the corners as well!

Tyler Powell's '63 Corvette is a track monster, it brought home 5th place overall.

It's also cool to see our old build, Velocity, out at the events and on the track now! This thing was cool back then and is still flaunting what it's got. Keith Corrigan, the new owner, took home 1st place in the Vintage class.

Our head man, Bret Voelkel, finished up in 3rd place, in our '69 Mustang. This car has been through it's course on the street, road course, and autocross! It's no stranger to high RPM's and Bret isn't afraid to push it to it's limits (it's met those limits a couple of times ). With the new stroker engine pulling like a freight train and the TQ series Shockwaves guiding it around the corners, it looks like a slot car! Who says air suspension can't handle?

Thanks for sharing the pictures, Josh. I'm glad the event was a success. Maybe I'll be able to make it next year.
