Default Project insurance

Do any of you all carry insurance to cover your project while you are building it? I dont want to pay for a full insurance policy for something that will never leave the garage. If so who do you use and if you dont mind providing what you pay for it I would appreciate it.

Yes, always insure the project and just agree on the value and modify coverage as it moves through the build. I have three cars insured with Alex LaRue, underwritten by Infinity. Great guy, great prices, good service and flexible coverage options.

Mine is thru Hagerty.
I just upped the coverage on my project, I was bad about doing it every year. They asked a lot of questions when I just about doubled the value. They freaked out a bit when they questioned the horsepower and my driving record.
I had to explain to them its still not driveable. I'm okay for now.

I use State Farm. No issues, low cost.

I just switched to Grundy because they do ageed value on their policies and made it real easy,I put $100k on my car for $678 a year, half what Haggerty wanted.
