Default '55 Chevy vs. '63 Nova regarding autocrossing

I'm on the horns of a dilemma. I want to get into autocrossing just for the fun of it. I have two options, my '55 Chevy sedan or my '63 Nova hardtop. I've done a little research about autocrossing short-wheel-based cars, and long-wheel-based cars...there are upsides and downsides to both. So, I wanted some opinions from Lat-g members about their experiences. What path would you take?

Thx,

Ed

For autocross I would go with the 63. Smallest and lightest of the 2.

Small and light with the tight turning radius equals better times.

Thanks for your replies. I'll stick with the '63 Nova then.
