Default HPI Customs New Hire

Hey everyone,
First off I'd like to introduce myself, my names Evan. Most of you have already seen the recent updates I've made on here for HPI Customs along with the entire www.hpicustoms.com website and our web blog. We now have our HPI Customs profile up and running so I'll be continuing to post on here using this one from now on.

So a little about myself, originally from Northern Manitoba. Always been interested in cars (both muscle and import performance) since I was a little kid. I've been turning wrenches since I was 10 with my Uncles and Grandad, now 17 years... Most of which as a Ford Delearship Mechanic and in small shops including an auto-body shop and custom import shop.

My current personal projects are:
- 1993 right hand drive Subaru Impreza WRX GC8 with a 2.0L turbo boxer engine. Project is about 60% complete. I'm building this as my daily driver and weekend auto-cross warrior. Will be fully caged, partially gutted, plenty of carbon fibre and aero installed, along with LOTS of engine upgrades including a larger/ faster spooling turbo.

- 1947 Ford F-100 pickup truck. My plans are up in the air for this one as the only use-able part is the body (sat in a field for 40 years), thinking towards a full out rat-rod or a street-rod, either way both will be cool with a large crate engine, RB26DETT Skyline engine or especially if I decide to go with a diesel power plant.

And I'm still sourcing out a suitable platform for a custom "bobber" bike, hopefully get my hands on a '60s Triumph or an older Harley for that. And hopefully by the time I've finished those builds I'll have found a suitable 'Cuda or Bel-Air to build as a weekend cruiser.
I'll be sure to post a build thread on here once everything gets underway.

Cheers
- Evan @ HPI Customs

Thanks, and good to see another person with a GC8 on here. Happen to have a build thread somewhere or just planning on keeping her stock? Im currently working on a render of my car for the plans I want done, so I'll be sure to post up some stuff soon. She's currently all torn down sitting under a tarp for the Winter till I can get her somewhere better to work on and complete, just stock piling parts at the moment.

if your on nasioc or rs25 check out omioteks supercharger build. i havent had time to mess with it lately and get it finished. i have other obligations and a deadline to meet on another car that take up all my time. but that is more important and comes first. ill finish this up probably over summer or next winter.

Thanks for the welcomes. And good to see people appreciate the WRX platform. Overall great car and its basically like a LEGO, options are endless for modifications.

I haven't gotten around to joining NASIOC just yet, but I'll get around to it this weekend. I've been creeping around there for the last year or so.
