What I am going to do once I pull the motor (I intend to yank it this weekend) is to pressure wash and scrub what I can of the exposed frame, floor pans, and visible accessible portion of the undercariage. Once that dries I will mask off the new parts and chassis black spray the metal and texture spray the fiberglass under parts. It will look great for a non-frame off. It would have been best to strip the suspension and engine, then blast and spray, then install...but, I am also working on a timeline requiring things to be done in logical steps that never require the car to be torn down too far at one spot.
We learned (in Florida) the last two years with active hurricane seasons to never be more than a couple of days away from making your stuff mobile! In fact, as I wrapped up this weekend tropical storm Alberto came roaring our way. At least right now you could put the dash back in, attach the rack, and drive it away as is. Of course once I yank the stock mill it will be totally shut down for a while, but at least it will have wheels under it.
