I'm looking for a 4L80e to go behind a 2003 LQ4 for a s10 project my son and i are working on. I'm in south Louisiana area and would drive a lil ways to pick it up. Thanks

That's the thing i don't know what a used 4l80e go for. This is the first time buying a transmission and of course i tried googling it but all i found was performance ones for thousands of dollars. Sorry i couldn't give you a better answer but i am looking around to see what a good price point would be.
How soon do you plan on buying the 6.0? I'll be back home the middle of next week or so and would like to buy one while im home from work.

I have a 4L80E that I've considered parting with. It was originally a 4WD and a local tranny shop converted it to 2WD and rebuilt it. If we could work out a price and shipping I'd consider getting rid of it. No miles on rebuild.

I need a 4wd trans. that would have been perfect.

South Dakota. I'd imagine freight would be around 150ish, but that's just a guess. I'd have to do some searching to see what they are even worth. I bought a 6.0 with 4L80E and transfer case for my C10 project. I eventually decided that since the C10 was meant to be more of a cruiser, I don't need that much power. I had a 3.5L inline 5 cylinder with trans and transfer case from a rollover I purchased for parts, figured that would fit the unique style of my build better. So I traded a tranny shop both transfer cases to rebuild and switch my trannies to 2wd. I kept the 6.0 to build in the backround with the intention of big turbos. So as I slowly stock up things like ARP studs/bolts, pistons, etc for the 6.0 my 4L80E sits collecting dust. Since I don't really have a plan for the engine, I feel bad letting the tranny sit since I might not even use it. If my HP levels are what I'm hoping for, it'd have to be beefed up anyways. So I'm thinking sell it, put money into 6.0 parts, buy another tranny when I know what I'm doing!
Sorry for the long winded post, I have a hard time not explaining things. Tranny is from a 2000 2500HD. I have a short bucket list of things I want to do before I deploy in August and one of them is get my 6.0 to the shortblock stage. Selling the tranny would help out with this, even if I may just end up buying another in a couple years!
Also, before I get flamed for going with a smaller motor, let me note that the inline 5 will still receive a turbo!
