Anyone heard the potential cause(s)?

Tire/driveshaft failure?

Wind gust?

Initial counter-steer input appeared to be gradual.

They've got more data being collected on the car than NASA had on the shuttle...I'm sure they know but nothing's been said yet.

Sometimes things don't get said, you know how the internet is. If it was the course or a tire issue everyone would start blaming Mike Cook or whatever tire he's running. George is one of the nicest landspeed guys ever, he knows the risk and wants everyone to be safe and go fast, period. No finger pointing or blame game, just put it back together and run it harder.

Rumor is they are thrashing to get it ready to run by World Finals, less than a month away!

On another note. Big Red was out running and filming again, fastest speed I heard was 224 and change, that's movin for a door car!

My son was there supporting another car. The salt was not in great shape - it had been under-water for a while (previous month's event cancelled for the conditions). The salt was "soft", but not particularly rough. May or may not have contributed to the accident.
