Default Wegner Built LS7 Dry Sump Engine

Item Location (City/State):Tracy, California

Price:$27,500.00

Description:

Well, I was hoping that it didn’t get to this point but some personal and family issues have come up and I will be selling this engine.

I’m not going into great detail because if you are a serious potential buyer, I am sure you will want to contact me by phone or in person.

I can tell you this engine was built with extremely high end parts and no expense was spared. It was built by Wegner Motorsports who is one of the best LS engine builders in the country. The engine has had the initial break in and was dyno tested at Wegner Motorsports producing 710HP and 653 pounds of torque. Casey Wegner said the throttle response to the Harrop ITB’s was insane. It was also built with some street manners in mind and should get 17-20 MPG.

Here is a link to the video of the dyno test at Wegner Motorsports.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWnl9Cc4tqc

Here is a list of all the parts used on this engine build at a cost of more than $33,000.00. I will also provide the buyer with an invoice of almost $4,500 for the work and dyno test performed at Wegner Motorsports. The total cost of this engine is upwards of $37,500.00

That sure would make a nice drop-in replacement for TOW. Best of luck with the sale!

I see the bore, but I don't see the stroke... So what is the CID?

It's a 4.125 stroke making the engine 450 cubic inches. With the tall deck, I could have went with a longer stroke making the engine 502 cubic inches, but after lengthy talks with both Thomson Automotive and Wegner Motorsports it was decided to go with the 4.125 stroke. The reasoning for this was to make the engine more street friendly with better fuel mileage and a much longer life.

Here is what Ron Sutton said about it,

"These numbers are nice ...

710 HP @ 6400
651.5 FT LBS @ 5100

But the thing that is bad ass is the flat torque curve and hp like a rheostat. This thing will be great to drive. That cam you posted is the key to this wide power band."

That's a smokin deal, I just built a nearly identical engine and have more into mine than the asking price for this one. GLWS!
