Default Sun Valley Road Rally - 246MPH Veyron

Okay --- like most things "you had to be there"..... 246 MPH Bugatti Veyron run.

This $2.8M, 1200 HP Bugatti Veryon Super Sport Pur Blanc 1/1 hit 246.4 mph to set a new course record at the 2014 Sun Valley Road Rally!

The Pur Blanc is a One of One commissioned for Ben Chen. The Super Sport is a limited edition version of the Bugatti Veyron that set the production car record for top speed. Only 30 Super Sport Veyrons exist. The Super Sport set the record for fastest production car with a top speed of 267mph.

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is powered by a 8.0L W16 that produces a whopping 1200 horsepower. The standard Bugatti Veyron produces 1,001 horsepower. The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is valued at USD $2.8 million. The Bugatti Veyron is quad turbocharged; it has 4 turbochargers. The Bugatti Veyron gets 8mph in the city and 12mpg on the highway.

The "normal" bone stock Veyrons all ran 229 to 230.... this however, is THE ONLY MODIFIED VEYRON.... For a mere 2.8 MILLION dollars... and they're trying to build the car to run 265's

That car is nice, but I'm more interested in information about the event. What exactly is the Sun Valley Road Rally?

More money than brains if they really don't have any additional safety gear.

I'll use your line here "better lucky than smart"

I won't be going to or supporting this event in the future.... Just FYI. And I live here. Once was enough. That's not dissing the cars or the excitement of seeing this caliber of car blasting that fast... but as a spectator event - it was a giant CF....

Sounds like a damn jet airplane! I really like these cars. I think they look great, and obviously, they have some serious performance to them.

Is that the stretch of road leaving Sun Valley going towards Stanley ? If so they missed the mark when they turned around

Shoulda kept going for the twisties and hauled ass on the straight stretches on the other side heading towards Lowman . At least that's what we used to do on the bikes

Wow. Don't sugar coat it GW.
I'm guessing you offered some pointers to the event coordinators and they were unreceptive? Really a shame to read you that disappointed in something so neat and so close to home....

Yeah Greg, I have to agree with Ketzer. Although poorly ran, it really is for a great cause. Is there a "board" behind this event, or is it just a dude calling the shots? Would it make more sense, as a spectator, to watch this from a helicopter? Maybe Charlie will donate a helicopter to watch from next year?
