Best place to buy Ford crate engine?
Where are you guys buying your Ford crate engines from? Any recommendations?

Yep, hard to beat Summitt. They have free shipping, as well as no truck freight so, it's truly "free" shipping. Jegs will tell you free shipping, but then hit you with either a $99 or $119 truck freight charge.  But, if you say price match Summitt, which is their #1 competitor, they will.

Check out buyfordracing.Com they've always beat everyone's price , but I had to call them to get the best deal.

You might also try Roush-Yates racing in Mooresville, NC. They have a store that sells both new parts and used NASCAR parts including complete engines.

There's a few of them out there. Roushe is fine, Ford performance parts direct, Smeding www.smedingperformance.com, plus dozens more. Do a search on the motor you're looking for (331 stroker, 427, etc), then search the forums to see if anyone posts about the builder. DSS used to be good , but their quality has suffered since they went into mass production.
