Default Recaro seats availability

Hi, I was hoping to pull the trigger on a set of Recaro Specialist in black vinyl soon. Called a few places and got the same story that Recaro is only going to allow authorized installation centers with their seats on display handle them. Sounds like a bad move on their part but nonetheless I am 0 for 3 on getting a return call to see if they had them in stock. If anyone has any further info on this or can get me a set let me know please. Thanks!!

Bummer. Check with Billy Utley (72novadriver) at B & B Classics. He was selling Recaros. He had some on display so maybe that counts

I think they're only letting authorized dealers carry them exclusively because of all the counterfeits out there.

That still won't stop counterfeiter's. As long as there are authorized sellers selling authentic Recaro's, there'll be counterfeiter's in the waiting to copy them.

And from what i understand, Recaro is super busy and making a killing on all the oem stuff they do for high end.

I have Recaros and am looking to up grade to a "certain" type and i'm havin a hard time with the style and name and availbility of them...

I'm going to try CAR of Campbell (auto restoration) but im not sure of what the style name is of the ones i'm looking for

I was hoping to go through him but have tried twice with no return call to let me know if they were in stock. Curious, did you go with the S or M? I think I am right on the borderline at 5-10"

I am 5'10" also, I like the fit ,they are very comfotable. Even when autocrossing you don't move around in the seat. I had to call Jim a few timesto reach him, it seems the best times are early and around 4:30 CST. Good Luck
