Default Very sad day to be a Mountie and for Police officers everywhere.

Very sad day to be a Mountie and for police officers everywhere. Scary as hell for the citizens of Moncton.

I thought about you Mike, when I heard this bad news. And then tonight we have another campus shooting here in Seattle.

Thanks Greg. Yeah this one certainly hit home more than a lot, even if it was across the country.

I Agree!

Here's a Story from our neck of the woods a few years ago

"As reported earlier this week, some dirtbag who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop in Florida ended up "executing" the deputy who stopped him.

The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range.

Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed.

A statewide manhunt ensued. The low-life piece of human garbage was found hiding in a wooded area with his gun. SWAT team officers fired and hit said low-life 68 times.

Now here's the kicker: Asked why they shot the guy 68 times, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel ... get this. "That's all the bullets we had."

God bless Sheriff Judd! "

They should be able to do that to convicted rapists too, a little street justice never hurt the judicial system did it,

Today was the funerals for the fallen officers from what I heard the k9 officer who was killed, his dog didn't want to leave the side of the casket...heartbreaking. The estimates are approx 7000 officers from across North America made their way to Moncton, New Brunswick. The whole area is sold out of hotel rooms so the amazing people of Moncton have opened their homes to anyone needing a place to sleep and for a shower . This reminds me very much of September 11 when all the planes were grounded and sent to newfoundland where again people opened their homes to complete strangers. The level of generosity of the people of Moncton is second to none. The respect of fellow officers from across North America is breathtaking. On behalf of all Canadians THANK YOU for taking time out of your lives to help others heal. If you know of anyone who went to the funerals....shake that persons hand they are a class act.
Sincerely Ryan Austin

So sorry for all the pain this guy caused and I'm with Greg on this he surrendered to painlessly. The officers who arrested him are good men and proved it by showing such restraint. I can't imagine having such control. It burned my gut seeing him walk out of this alive. (For Now)
