Default Class win #1 for 2014 today!!

Well the Ridetech equipped Exessive Engineering Chevrolet Monte Carlos SS ran pretty good today, the Ron Sutton Race Technology setup we dialed into the car at the test yesterday worked like a champ. We only made one 1 click change on the Triple Adjustable Ridetech TQ shocks all day long and that was enough to get us a win in the Classic American Muscle class today. The Discount Tire Falken tires gripped well even before the heat got soaked into the pavement on my later runs and I needed that as 2nd place was only 0.128 seconds behind.

Looks like we’ve got a tough field of cars this year, should make for some interesting racing as the season gets into full swing. You can follow along on the live leaderboard scoring that is new this year at timing.kcrscca.org if you’d like next Sunday as we fire them up again for Event #2

Today’s results
CAM - Total Entries: 4 Total Diff.

Thanks everyone! It really was fun. It's fun having a car that can handle better than it's driver can drive. It's fun racing at a great facility against equally prepared and like cars. And it's fun being the victor.

There is still a long ways to go and there will be times I'll get beat by the others I'm certain so I'm going to enjoy this one while I can.

Even more fun was looking at the list of cars I beat not in my class, many of them on R-Comps too...

http://www.kcrscca.org/results/solo/...event1_raw.htm

Half a second faster and I would have jumped 10 more spots in raw time. What I found is these Falkens like heat, the hotter I got them the better they gripped. I ran in run group 2 and it was just warming up the second half of my group and was even warmer for run group 3 where some of the times that beat mine were ran. I hope to be regularly finishing in the 20s sooner than later.

Big props out to Ron Sutton. There are many experienced people in our Region wondering right now just how I got my Monte Carlo to run as fast as it is...and that is all on Ron.

If Ron wanted to be Govenator, he'd get the votes.
