RideTech Brackets

So I have the brackets for the rearend of the Chevelle ready to be bolted in place. Just wondering if I need to weld them in after bolting them together. There is one holethat needs to be drilled to accept the bolt, I was thinking that I would just weld it in instead. Thoughts?

Call RideTech and ask them. It's their product.


Not being an asshat here --- just saying that if anyone should have experience and know what the answer is - it should be them.

None taken Greg. I've just had a little trouble getting in touch with them on an email so I just thought I would ask here. I'll discuss with them as he just answered me right before I go your reply. It's show season for them and I've got plenty of time.

You can weld them if you'd like, but there's no reason to.
We've have a ton of miles on a couple of A-Bodies in our fleet with the brackets bolted on with zero issues.

In fact, the 66 Chevelle was just in Texas for the USCA race.

YES IT WAS -- AND GREG DROVE THE CRAP OUT OF IT! Great car! And he can wheel it too!

Talked to Ridetech today. they said what ever I wanted to do. They try to keep their components as much bolt on as possible, but said to weld them if I wanted. I'll see as I start to install.
