Best complete rewire kit for LS conversion - Lateral-g Forums

So, I am getting closer to doing my swap. I am going to rewire the entire car while this swap is taking place. The front end will most likely be off the car while performing. I will have some custom items in the car (Dash, battery in the trunk, etc.) and need the new harness setup to be accommodating. Any suggestions from those of you that have tackled this already?

Havent actually done the swap yet but rewired with AAW Classic Update. Everything is there and easy to do. Has fan, fuel pump, ac etc prefused and wired. Found my best price at MCB.

Was your battery in the trunk, did you have extra circuits, etc? Glad to hear it was complete and ready to go.

the AAW wiring harness is a very user friendly harness whether your doing a conversion or stock wiring,I have used 4 of them and really like them

Doug - another vote for AAW classic update. It puts the fuse block in the stock location nicely, has all the connections and plenty of circuits.

I'm pretty sure you'll need battery relo pieces or a kit no matter whose main harness you buy.

I've used AAW Highway 22 kits.... but frankly -- the wire quality of the Ron Francis kits is far superior. Go flex both kits and see for yourself.

You just gonna come off the pretty much the same lead position. I like to run a battery bulkhead at the firewall close to the battery. Then run a lead from that to the factory junction block.

I love the AAW stuff.

I recently did a rewire using an AAW kit, supplementing it with the battery and other cables and distribution block from a 5 or 7 series car in the junkyard. I moved the battery to the trunk, added power windows and seats, electric fans, gauges, new vert top wires, air ride and some other stuff. Just took out the pins and wires I didn't need, and only had to tap into a couple wires (that was mainly to feed the dash light signal to the gauges).
The accessory power plug is super handy and I like not feeling like my car is a fire hazard. Overall a pretty painless operation, likely easier if your changes from stock are smaller or fewer in number.

X10 for AAW classic update. You are able to customize it in a lot of ways. I integrated things like the DSE wiper and used almost all of the open (or not used circuits- like the factory brake light and a couple of others) so I would not have any of my other wires going through the firewall (other than the bulkheads).

You can compare both kits on our website and purchase a mounting bracket for the fuse panel if you would like with a reorder of bicep spray.

The AAW kit comes with switches but the RF kit has a nicer steel fuse panel.
