Default Road Course Track Engine: SBC 700+ HP / Nearly New & Less than Half Price

Item Location (City/State): Southern California

Price: $12,900 OBO

Description: Road Course Track Engine: SBC 700+ HP / Nearly New & Less than Half Price

This is a very developed engine package for a track car or mean street car. It has a very smooth, wide drivable power band. It is not "peaky" like small cubic inch race engines & it is not a torque monster down low that goes flat in higher rpm. It pulls HARD from 3500 rpm to 7500 rpm.

Makes awesome power in various combinations:
561 HP with 500 cfm 2-barrel & 1.5 rockers
587 HP with 500 cfm 2-barrel & 1.6 rockers
684 HP with 850 cfm 4-barrel & 1.5 rockers
728 HP with 950 cfm 4-barrel & 1.6 rockers

When I say it is "nearly new" that is because we replaced everything inside before the final 3 events in full overhaul with dyno runs.

Here is what is used for 2 seasons ...

* Dart SHP Iron Block (Light Version) with Billet Steel 4-bolt Main Caps
* Dart CNC Aluminum 227cc Pro1 Cylinder Heads
* Edelbrock/Wilson CNC Ported Super Victor Intake
* Jean Dittmer Turtle inside Super Victor Intake

Here is what is "almost new" with 3 events on it ...

* Callies Crank
* K1 H-Beam Rods & ARP S2000 Rod Bolts
* Wiseco Moly Coated Pistons
* ARP Main Cap Studs
* ARP Head Studs
* Moly Rings / Low Tension Oil Ring
* Clevite Moly Coated Race Bearings
* Comp Cam Drive Timing Belt Assembly
* Comp Cam Roller Cam with Special Lobe Profiles
* Comp Cams Roller Lifters
* Comp Cams Chromoly Pushrods
* Comp Cams Roller Valve Springs
* Comp Cams Titanium Valve Spring Retainers & Locks
* Manley Stainless Intake Valves - 2.080"
* Manley Stainless Exhaust Valves - 1.600"
* Yella Terra Shaft Rockers (1.5 ratio)
* Blueprinted Melling Select High Volume Oil Pump
* Chromoly Oil Pump Drive Shaft
* Canton Road Race Oil Pan
* Canton Pick Up & Windage Tray
* MSD E-curve distributor
* Bronze distributor gear for roller cam
* MSD Coil & Wires
* Aluminum Race Water Pump

Notes:
I run coatings, belt drives & shaft rockers in all my engines. The belt drive reduces the harmonics from the crank (each time a cylinder fires) tremendously. This makes everything in the valvetrain ... and the crank ... last much longer. I run shaft rockers, because it keeps the valvetrain true, with no side loads on the valves. Again, for durability reasons, this makes the valvetrain much more bullet proof * long lasting. Lastly, coatings on the pistons & bearings simply make the engine last longer & have a higher degree of insurance.

As expected, I will assist the new owner with dialing in the tune & any set-up questions.

Specs:

4.145" bore x 3.750" stroke = 405"
Compression: 13.6-1 for race gas, E85, ethanol or methanol
Cam profile only discussed with new owner
Block is not the heavy Little M version. It is 40# lighter. So this is a "light SBC"

New cost: $27,500
"Almost New" price now: $12,900 with your choice of new carburetor from list below.

Holley Ultra HP Carb: 850 or 950 cfm / Gas or E85
QFT Black Diamond Q-Series: 850 or 950 cfm / Gas or E85

Thanks Jerr. It is very well built. We developed this combo in 2010 & ran several of them.

I'm open to reasonable offers on the engine. Excellent track car engine or hardcore street engine.

I would of thought half off would of been a reasonable price. I wish I had the coin for this.

If you want a killer track engine ... and want EFI ... for the same $12,900 price ... I can outfit it with a new, complete Holley HP Multiport electronic fuel injection system & 48 lb/hr injectors (765hp capacity). See it here.
