Default Table Top Mill

Item Location (City/State): Roseville, Ca (20 miles east of Sacramento)

Price:$800.00

Description:

I have a table top mill that I want to sell. Here is the story on how I got it. My wife's grandfather was a machinist. He had a full shop full of cool stuff. When he passed away nobody in the family wanted it so I bought it and a bunch of other stuff from her Grandmother. No handouts here. I had great intentions on using it but have only used it 3-4 times. Works great - just can't justify the space it takes to keep it.

It is made by JIH Fong Machinery Model RF-30. It is a 2 HP model and can be wired 110 or 220. He added a motorized table to it, but I have never used it. There is a bunch of tooling that goes with it.

Here are the specs I found on it

SPECIFICATIONS
• Drilling Capacity 32mm (1.25")
• Face Mill Capacity 76mm (3")
• End Mill Capacity 20mm (0.75")
• Swing 405mm (15-7/8")
• Max distance spindle nose to table 480mm (18")
• Spindle Taper M.T.3 R-8
• Spindle Stroke 130mm (5")
• Diameter of Spindle Sleeve 75mm (3")
• Head Swivel 360 degrees
• Diameter of Column 115mm (4.5")
• Overall Height (w/o stand) 1100mm (43.5")
• Machine Stand Height 760mm (30")
• Length 1080mm (42.5")
• Width 1010mm (39.75")
• Motor 1.5 - 2 HP
• Spindle Speed (RPM) 12S - 50Hz - 100-2080 (4 pole) (75-1685 6 pole)
• Spindle Speed (RPM) 12S - 60Hz - 120-2500 (4 pole) (95-2020 6 pole)
• Standard Accessories - 3" cutter, 0.5" chuck, 3.5" angle vise
• Forward and backward travel of table 175mm (7")
• Right and left travel of table 500mm (19.75")
• Working area of table 730mm x 210mm (28.5" x 8.25")
• Gross Weight - Appr. 300 kg (660 lbs)
• Measures 27.2 cubic feet
• Extra Accessories:
Power down (spindle) feed
Power longitudinal (table) feed
Tapping Switch
Forward & Reverse Switch
Magnetic Switch
Emergency Switch
Collet Chuck
Work light
Cabinet stand
23 speeds (2-speed motor)
Extension column
Clamping kits
80 dB MAX NOISE

I inventoried all of the tooling and found full set of 18 collets, full set of 20 end Mills (most like new) plus quite a few misc ones. 5 heads, 3 vises, full set of table clamps, plus a ton of custom little clamps, vises etc. he made for it. I have the original manual on it.

I went online and found a comparable version of this mill is $1800 new without some of the upgraded add on's. It is far from new but in good condition still works great.

As everybody knows the tooling sometimes can cost you more than the machine itself. I also have a large Tote box full of misc aluminum. From 1/8" to 1/2" thick that I will throw in with it.

I want $800.00 for everything. Local pick up only.

Thanks

Wish this was a week ago. Im in utah, but I drove down to visit family to sacramento. Do you need this gone or are you just going to sit on it till you find a home? If so,Ill make a note and check back with you when I next drive down. Not sure when it will be,so Im not intending this to be anything more than a general expression of interest though.
