Hidden wiper motor

Due to the engine set back on my big block Ford powered AMC Javelin, I need to modify my cowl. I would like to eliminate the factory wiper motor mounting location. I have began looking at utilizing a street rod type hidden wiper kit. I would like to move the motor inside, on the firewall instead of on the engine compartment side of the cowl/firewall.
Does anybody have a good suggestion on how to accomplish that?

Are you able to keep the stock location on the arm pivot shafts?

If you know a fabricator, you can mount the motor behind the glove box area and make an extension for the main transmission arm to motor. Don't kill the wiper motor mounting flange, you can use that to remount the motor else where. Do you have a picture of your cowl sides?

I will be able to keep everything in factory location except the motor.

This is a cable driven unit that will allow me to run the motor under the dash

Used one of these on my Dad's '56. We even extended how far off away the motor sat by using longer tubing than came with the kit. The car has seen its fair share of rain storms over the last 12 years, with no issues whatsoever.

Thanks! I think that is the direction I am going. It will allow me to get the ugly wiper motor out of the engine bay and allow me much more room for engine set back.

I just did the specialty power window one on my Barracuda....bought it from Scotts Hot Rod

Pretty easy with some fabrication...I mounted mine under the cowl panel.......seems to work pretty good when I mocked it up and hooked up the motor. My car doesn't have a windshield right now

My car will not likely see rain if I can avoid it..just wanted one in case and to be full street legal etc...seems like it will work fine...

I had the Specialty Power Window version in my 56 Nomad and that worked flawlessly for the 15 years I owned the car - and I drove in the rain plenty of time (live in Seattle, WA). It's easy to mount - and the "tube" the cable runs in is easy to form. They use a bell crank type assembly with a plate with various position so you can set up your stop start index for the arms... you'll have to do some comparison of the sweep of the vehicles "known" in the instructions to compare to the Javelin which I'm going to bet is not one of the known cars listed (but maybe it is!)
