Default "Shop Beater" hits the road for the first time!! (69 PT Camaro)

Well after a long 90 days or so, I have turned a rotted out, rusty shell, into a badass, show stopping PT Camaro (my opnion at least)!! We started working on the car back on January, 27th of 2006. It sat on the dolly minus all sheetmetal and floors!! Well here it is May 1st and she is almost done (minus a little Dyno time to get it tuned)!! Its been 3 months of had work and determination to get it done. I never could have accomplished it with out my right hand man Jerry, hes my father and law and my only full time shop help!! A special thanks also goes out to Wayne for all the help he gave with the body work, paint, and final assembly! Without you to guys this thing would have never seen the light of day!

we took the car on it maiden voyage Saturday morning! There was a local show in town and I planned to make a big statement. We got there early and got a good spot! and had more of a crowd than the vipers, classics, and anything else was there!! It made my day when I came into town and caught a red light only to see in my rear view 6 vipers pull up behind me, and follow me all the way through town! And we pull up to the staging area for the show, they all get to my window before I can get out, and start telling me how nice the car, is and how bad it sounds!! Made my day right there!!! The car ended up taking first in the modded camaro class, but somehow lost out best of class muscle car to a stock 01 firebird, you go to love the mentality of local judges!! They had no idea what they where looking at!!

Car is officially up for sale, PM if interested!

More build pics and stuff can be found at www.fletcherscustoms.com/projects/69

How it started on January 27th, 2006!!

Here she is on April 30th, 2006

Looks killer! 90 day build up. Very impressed! Especially how rough she was before you started.

yeah it was a quick build. we worked our butts off to get it done. The goal was to make this local show and we pulled it off!!

It was the small things that took time, like media blasting all the interior surfaces of the car and undercoating, coating all the roof structure and inner sail panels. etc!! This car will never rust again!!
