Default BBC EFI tuning guru in SoCal available for consulting during chassis dyno day?

I've nearly completed my 500 break-in miles on my new ZL-1 motor and I'm about to take it to one of the nearby chassis dynos here in the San Diego area to have it dyno'd and do some fine tuning. I was wondering if there are any EFI gurus in the Southern California area that are available for some EFI consulting that I could coordinate with on this visit to the dyno. My motor is a 489 BBC with MPFI, Holley Avenger ECU and software with laptop, lumpy hydraulic roller cam, about 10.4 compression on 91 pump gas. Hopefully somewhere in low to mid 600's on both torque and HP at the crank. The self-learning capabilities of the ECU have it running great with no stumbles, deceleration or acceleration issues, smoking, starting or idling issues, etc, etc. I was just hoping to maximize every HP I could get out of it while on the chassis dyno and was thinking an EFI tuning guru could help with that. If any of you know of someone, please let me know and I'll reach out to them. Thanks!

You're going to a chassis dyno to have your EFI BBC tuned like I am? Or your thinking about building a similar engine? If it's the latter, I was hoping this would be a discussion about EFI tuners in the SoCal area, not about the details of my engine. I can PM you my cam specs, but how much they would apply to what you're trying to do could vary widely since my cam is a custom grind that was spec'd out for my heads/EFI/etc and what I am trying to accomplish on the street, track, and dyno. If you'd like to talk about cam specs for what you're trying to build and the numbers you'd like to achieve, please feel to contact Gabriel Ray at Comp Cams. He was extremely helpful for me and a very friendly and knowledgeable guy to chat with.

Try Dave at Autotrends. He's the best around there.

Hi Mark. Thanks for the scoop. Do you have the location or contact information for Autotrends? I'm having trouble locating that info on the net. Much appreciated.

Yes, I was thinking about Mike. I know that he occasionally makes trips out here to California and offers his services when he visits. I think I'm going to reach out to him and see what his schedule is like. Thanks Dave.

Sorry I didn't realize he was so far north.
I'd still call him though, he does travel. Plus he may know someone else reputable as well.
Just an FYI, there are a lot of "tuners" that'll get it to run o.k., but very few who can get the best out of it. If you don't believe me just browse this site and others and you'll see what I mean.

Best of luck!!

Thanks for the warning Mark. I appreciate that. The engine runs pretty damn good now as-is thanks to the self-learning, so I'll be sure to save my current ECU settings/profile and do some baseline dyno pulls just to see and secure where she's at before any tinkering.
