Default What crossmembers and driveshaft work for an ls swap in a gen 1 camaro?

Guys what crossmembers and driveshafts work well with what transmissions? I.E.:if I use a t56 will a turbo 400 crossmember work with some tweaking, or if I use a 4l80e do I have to get an aftermarket trans and so on. I have asked this question before on a different forum but got really no answers. I currently have a 4spd muncie crossmember and driveshaft and wanted to know if I can use these for any trans that works with the ls or are they useless other than a 4 spd aplication?

I'm just going to use my stock nova x member and move it back on the frame and drill new holes. That's what my buddy did with his chevy 2 ls swap. I'm sure others will chime in though.

What trans are you running? I want to use a stock crossmember I am just not sure what ones I can use with either a 4l80e or a t56. Those are my desired trans choices.

We just cut up and modify stock ones. Mainly so they get put in the right place.

No on the driveshaft. Going to have to shorter and a different yoke.

This guy is in San leandro and he can make you one that fits. 510 352 3500 ask for brian.

Thanks Todd, I have been leaning towards the bowtie overdrives crossmember if I got t56 http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/cata...php?ITEMID=690
Its the right price, and they seem reputable, I will look into your suggestion however.

So a muncie 4 speed driveshaft fits a t56, I connected them and turned it. The input shaft turned with the driveshaft. So I guess the conclusion is that a muncie driveshaft works with a t-56. Now I just need to find a crossmember that wont have complications and wont break the bank.
