Someone is probably going to lose their job over this. I was watching the news broadcast when this happened and I called a friend to see if he was watching. About 5 minutes after they aired this, the news anchor came and apologized for the error and said the names were incorrect. Ya think!!!!
It did air Vince. I watched it on the noon news. I even called a friend to see if he was watching the news. Maybe you were working on my car and didn't get a chance to see it.
I'm sorry but that's just funny as hell.... not the crash or people getting hurt -- but I can't imagine that none of the news people could look at that list of names and not say --- OH COME ON! REALLY!

Idiots.
Couldn't agree more.

On the 6PM newscast, they couldn't apologize fast enough. The NTSB also issued a statement saying that the Chanel 2 news did call them to confirm the spelling of the fake names. They blamed it on an intern who was not allowed to take calls and he told the Chanel 2 news those were the correct names. My guess is that he is no longer an intern. Either way, more than one person dropped the ball on this.
