Default 2nd Gen rear wheel Backspacing

I know not all 2nd gens are the same but what is a good starting place for rear wheel Backspacing on a non mini tubed 2nd gen? And for that matter what about the front? It will have a OE sub frame with tubular control arms. It's a 73 if that makes a difference.

I found a nice deal on a pair of 18x10 wheels but not sure if they will work at either end?

Hi Rick,

Is your car Mini-Tubbed or Stock Wheel Wells

My wheels are

5.75 Front - 18 x 8 (255 35 18 )
6.75 Rear - 18 x 10 (295 35 18 )

ps - Also have a set of drop spindles & blocks if you want them

Not to make things confusing but I have 18x8 and 18x10s with 4.5 BS and 5.5 BS. fits pretty good. No rubbing.

I'm wanting to run 19x10s up front and 19x12s in the rear. Car has DSE tubs and pro-touring F-body upper and lower tubular control arms. Anyone have a similar setup? Stock rear end width.

I talked with Jason @ Rushforth a bunch regarding the GenII fitment. There was only one control arm setup that allowed 10's on a stock sub. I cant recall what it was but it wasn't DSE. Wheel wells had to be modified as well. I went with 255's on 8'' rims on the front.

My guess would be Speed Tech's new Set up.

If you were running a 19" up front you might be able to put a 10" wide rim. However you would have some turning radius issue's

Give Keith at Custom Works Products ( www.customworksproducts.com ) a call he regularly beats the snot out of his 2nd gen and he is a speed tech dealer.
