Default Another 69 Camaro

Just wanted to say hey and introduce myself. My name is Steve and I live in Miami, Fla. I am working on a 69 PT Camaro and probably will have lots of questions, so I thought I should get a couple a pictures out to let you know want I'm working on.

I currently have 2 musle cars a 70 Chevelle SS that I restored back to original and the 69 Camaro. I attached a picture below that shows both cars last year. I bought the camaro off of ebay in May 2005 and have been working on it since then. The Chevelle restoration was nowhere near as complete as the camaro is going to be.

I have currently striped the car down and started replacing almost all the sheet metal. I have completed the front sheet metal and am working on the floor now, then onto the back end.

My basic plans for the car is a fairly modern PT car. It will be as much for show as go. I will rarely take the car to any type of track other that to try it once or twice. But, here's what I plan on for the car:

All new sheet metal
DSE Mini-tubs and lowered 3"
DSE Subframe connectors
Tubular upper and lower A-arms with coil overs
BB Chevy
Tremec 5 spd tranny
12 bolt Rear - 3.73 posi gears
Some type of custom interior
Color is going to be Daytona Sunset Orange w/black strips

I attached a couple of picture of where the car stands now. This place has some fanatistic cars and I hope I can pick some of your brains down the road.

Thanks

Welcome aboard, Steve. Looks like you already have a ton of work into it. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress.

Welcome to the site man. The very best and most encouraging place to have a PT car under construction.

Can't go wrong with a 69 Camaro. Welcome. Watch out, some guys might want you to trade it in for one of those Cudas or something - stay strong, LOL.

Alot of cool people with helping keyboards, enjoy.

Thanks for the welcome guys. The site has already helped a lot with my wheel order. More questions to follow.

No way anybody could talk me out of a chevy - a chevy man all the way! Grandfather (entire life) and Dad both worked for Fisher Body when we lived in Detroit. But, some of those Cudas are killer looking.
