We have an iPad 3, but for the next one looking at the lil bro as an alternative.

Any owners of the little beast care to chime in with some observations?

I have one Skip, love it so far. It doesn't have the Retina Display yet, but still looks great. I use it to face time with my kids and watch movies on an airplane when I am traveling.

Bought one at Wallymart. They're selling the 16GB iPad Mini for $299.

As much as I like the Retina screen on our iPad 3, I like the mini's smaller size/lighter weight; you can hold it in one hand.

Exactly Skip! If you don't put too large a case on it, you can actually fit it into some coat, hoodie, cargo pants pockets too. I think once they add the retina display, I'll wait for a price drop and pick one up. Enjoy!
