Default Drop out prices

Help me out here, not following the Math...

LSA from a vendor here drop out 30K Miles... 16 K no trans + factory accessories...
GMPP new LSA 11.5 K plus vintage air front runner (or similar) ~ 14.5K

LS3 from same with 6 speed and accessories 36K miles 9K
New GMPP 480 HP 6500 + front runner 3K Plus t56 magnum 3.5 K=12k..

Why would anyone consider a drop put? or did I call the wrong place??

what vendor here sells drop outs? You can pm me if you want. I don't know the particulars, but often the drop outs include a lot more of the small stuff, ECU's, accessories, etc that a crate engine may not. But if the price was even close to new for roughly the same things there's no way I'd buy used.

That is the problem I see with used stuff. 16k For an LSA is crazy. First off your not going to be able to fit the standard LSA accessory drive in alot of frames so you will have a combo deal with the LSA blower drive and the vette drive system. You will not be able to run a VA front runner with the LSA blower dive without reinventing the wheel.

The LSA from Fairway is like 11.5, the drive should be less then 1500 complete and the harness might be 1200 bucks. Plus it has a factory dual disc clutch if you order the right part number. Plus it's new and your not trusting that it really had 30k miles. Plus the take out engine the harness is really not worth much.

The only time the take out engines are a deal is when your doing a 5.3L truck engine which I sell all the time for 3500 bucks with trans and complete drive system. Sure there heavy and ugly but what do you expect for 3500 bucks.

Plus you get a warranty. All the lsx swaps have driven junkyard prices up substantially and you have no idea what your actually getting.
